About this centre
Our Southend Assessment Centre is located on London Road. The assessment centre is accessible by bus and there is car parking close by – please see the car parking section for further details. The main entrance will be clearly signposted with an Assessment Centre sign.
Travelling by bus or coach
The nearest bus stop is at Southend Victoria Station Interchange, approximately 0.2 miles away. This stop is served by routes: 8, 9 and 25 from Victoria Avenue 1 from Southchurch 20 and 27 from London Road.
To get to the centre go along the 9.00am footpath between Sainsbury’s and the Odeon, and then turn right into London Road. The centre is on your left.

Travelling by train
Southend Victoria and Southend Central stations are both approximately 0.2 miles from the centre.
From Southend Victoria station: Exit the station and follow signs for the town centre. Go along the footpath between Sainsbury’s and the Odeon, and then turn right into London Road. The centre is on your left.
From Southend Central station: Turn left as you exit the station and continue along Clifftown Road until you reach the High Street. Turn left and continue to Victoria Circus. Turn left into London Road and the centre is 0.1 miles along on the left.

Travelling by car
From Victoria Avenue: Head southeast on Victoria Avenue/A127 towards Southend Victoria station. At the end of the road, turn right onto Queensway/A13. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto London Road. Continue on London Road until you reach Sainsbury’s on your left. The centre is on your right in the multi-coloured ‘Lego effect’ building.

Car parking
A multi-storey car park is located on College Way (to the side of the centre building). Payment is done via an App or by telephone.
There is also the Sainsbury’s car park opposite the centre with pay and display for 2 hours. Pay and display parking is available on the road outside the centre. This includes free accessible parking.

Remember to bring your identification and appointment letter with you.
